Given his physique he seems to have had a caring father and mother and siblings ![]() PS I am assuming all this as he's actually admiring this weird contraption which you never see in forests. Wondering what kind of an animal. He's surely not a beggar as there's no one in the car. What say my dear Watson?? This photograph deserves an award

![]() Pic 1 appears to be the rear end of a Ford Model A, late 20s to very early 30s. Pic 2 is something american, probably a Chrysler. Can some of the experts tell us more? Pic 3 is a genuine early Rolls Royce, possibly a Silver Ghost! Note the spare wheel placement right in the middle. Pic 4 is a lovely 46-48 Pontiac. Pic 5 and 10 is a 46-48 Buick 8, amongst my all time favorites. The number looks familiar, the car might survive. Probably shot in Lonavala/Mahabaleshwar etc. Pic 6 and 7 is a Vauxhall, probably late 30s early 40s. Pic 8 is a large English car, might be a Standard. pic 9 is a 46-48 Mercury The last picture appears to be a 46-48 Plymouth. Keem 'em comin!

| Awesome. Thanks for that info guys. As i said earlier, im not entirely sure who is in the photographs (and for that matter - who the cars belong to). Karlos - if that buick 8 is still around do let me know! Here are 2 more cars in this pics that got left out. >> ![]() (and this one is another pic of what karlos identified as a Rolls) ![]() And i included this pic because i thought it was pretty groovy >> ![]() cya R

Lovely photographs of your family's cars, Rehaan. There's something about these sepia pics, and if there's an automobile in there, so much the better! My two bits.. Pic 2 - As Karl said, "is something american, probably a Chrysler." I just can't pin it, Chrysler, yes, quite likely, but is it a little small for that? Is it too big for a Chevy, or a Dodge? Could it also not be American at all? Dunno. just can't get it - it's there almost at the tip, and have seen something like this in the flesh, at the rallies in Delhi. Looked up books, the net - disc wheels, the rear-hinged back door, the waist-line, not one pic where all are in there together! Tried off-beat ones like the Graham Paige, Essex, Erskine - no joy. Lovely car though, could someone tell what make? Pic 4 - Truly regal, these Pontiacs - Torpedo/Silver Streak. Always wanted one. Pic 6 and 7 - Vauxhall 10, the pre-war dies continued well through the blitz and afterwards, so is this probably a 46? Pic 8 - The "large English car", could it be a 36-37 Humber Snipe? Or a Sunbeam Talbot? More likely the former, but quite certainly from the Rootes stable. Personally, I like this the most of all the cars here. The last picture appears to be a 48 Plymouth Special Deluxe. Cheers, | |
