The (mini/micro)car bearing the number P-1333 (first pic in Post#57) is featured in the supplement of today's 'The Hindu' newspaper along with its owner. Dates back to late 1940s or so.

Edit : sjcherian, you beat me to it by 2 mins or so.

I forgot to include these earlier. Note the cabrio VW appears to be a genuine item, making it quite rare.

Hmmm...agreed doesn't go with this car. I like them on 911 Turbo's & 2.7 RS's! That's where they look best

Lovely jamboree there. Congratulations to the organisers. It's nice to have an all-inclusive event where all motor owners can participate without prejudice.

Was the Charger acquired from Delhi? RM had one standing at his place for a long time (ostensibly though it belonged to his friend VG) in the same colour combo. Ishaan, since you've been there often, you would have seen it - and at the rallies of course - and would have known it's for sale. So, why didn't you go for it then, if you want one so bad?

I though, can't help but cringe while visualising the climax of Bullit every time I see one of these pieces of heavy metal.

It certainly wasnt offered by VW at any point. There were a lot of aftermarket kits available at the time for bugs, and this could be one of those period (80s/90s) kits, when the fad caught on.
