Panchgani's salubrious climes seem to be beneficial for classic Jeeps.
Abused, dieselised, and overloaded, these doughty workhorses do sterling duty on the misty slopes of the Wai-Panchgani road..

Yes Hrishikesh, the monogram looks lovely !
After seeing so many of these beauties, I felt like taking one home !!

@Anjan: He he, and they really make a pretty sight on the winding roads lined with classic bungalows amid silver-oak trees !

I've been seeing that blue Jeep as a kid in Pune too. Last when I saw it it even had original hubcaps. You can see older pics of this and others here

My God, Karl - that was a lovely trip / write-up / pictures !
And amazing how the Willys keeps surfacing time and again. Co-incidence, or the universe giving you hints ?

It is sad to see that not only the hubcaps but also the trims has gone missing.

Chanced upon a grey/blue Willys, parked in a porch of a grand old bungalow on East Street, Pune. The garage in the compound also had a bright green Mini and a white VW Beetle. Anyone here own them?
Heard there is a Morris for sale in Panchgani/Mahabaleshwar.
