Two pictures from Chori Chori (1956), starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis. Here Bhagwan Dada and later the hero and heroine are seen moving in a primitive Vespa three wheeler.

It means that the Vespa three wheeler was introduced in India prior to 1956.

Not sure if pics. of this car have been posted here earlier- a Fiat 1100 D taxi in the 70s movie 'Jaaneman' driven by Dev Anand who plays a taxi driver in it.

Various classics seen in the movie Shagird (1967), namely the 'topless' mk1 Standard Herald driven by Joy Mukherjee throughout the movie.

Also for Amby fans: note the lovely two-tone on the mk2 Amby. Never seen anything quite like it!

A few nice cars seen in a '60s Telugu movie:

A 1954(?) Plymouth convertible, a '20s Austin? and a '63-64 mk1 Standard Herald "convertible"!

Just happened to find this clip on youtube of a Malayalam movie maybe from the 80s? (sorry 'dont know the name or any other details, maybe our mallu tbhpians can help) where actor Mohanlal learns how to drive in a Fiat 1100 select...and finally ends in chaos! The car appears to be very original with even the fish-shape side indicators and original tail-lamps intact. But the hubcaps are from a Standard Gazel/later Amby and the RVM is non-original too.

Warning: Fiat Lovers especially will not like this- viewer discretion advised!

'found this scene from a '70s movie "Mr. Romeo"! (never seen/heard of it before!) where Shashi Kapoor drives a Fiat 1100D choptop. Looks like an imported one with the chromadora front grille. Got a cool steering wheel too. Meets a sad end though!

Also can see what looks like a Plymouth? convertible.

This is from the Malayalam movie Appu, released probably around 90-91.

As a tribute to India's greatest showman Raj Kapoor on his 25th death anniversary today, here is a song from his second film ( under the RK banner) Barsaat (1949):
The song is "barsaat mein hum se mile tum sajaan "

An Oldsmobile convertible is shown at the end. This car belonged to Raj Kapoor in real life and used to be parked within RK Studios premises. I am not sure whether it is still parked there?

Could it be this car? This one was a Mumbai registered Premier that had appeared at the V & C Rally in 2007 - Disappeared after that. They came just like that though it was neither in the Vintage nor Classic category then.

The registration number was BLL 5235 a Mumbai registration. But BLL will be from the mid -1980's and the picture you say is from the 1970's.

A song from the Golden era of Bollywood music from the film CID (1956) starring Dev Anand and featuring Minoo Mumtaz here. The song is "Boojh mera kya naam re" by Shamshad Begum with music by O.P. Nayyar.
The car is only partly seen- the steering, A,B, and C pillars, the venetian blind on its rear windscreen and the split front windscreen. I was only guessing which car this could be? It appears to be one of the early 1950's cars fro m the Chrysler Corporation viz. the older Dodge Kingsway ?
Nope! Its a Ford Custom ! The door handles, chrome strip running long the base of the A, B and C pillars, thick C pillar and the split front windscreen have provide enough clues.!

Pictures from the movie SHAAN.A silver Porsche 911 is seen in the background in two pictures with Shashi Kapoor- Big B and Johnny Walker- Bindiya Goswami respectively.
Two original Premier Padmini colours are seen in the next two pictures. One is a bottle green- white (two tone colour) popular in the 1970's and the other is sugarcane green.
A Bedford J6 truck and a black Ambassador Mark II are seen in two pictures. Then some cars with a red matador are seen in another picture.

How did you miss out the numerous Fiat 1100 taxis in the song "Naam Abdul hai mera" (in which a blue Gazel also is seen briefly!) and also the white Triumph Herald driven by Sunil Dutt when he gets kidnapped alongwith the car?

Then there is also some European/British car driven by Shotgun, a Black 2-door one.

That was a Ford Escort, from what I remember from the vestiges of my memory. A first generation European Escort, i.e.
