this song is a biker's delight !!
And reminds me always of my college days on RD350s, RX100s, RoadKings, Bullets, Tata Sierras, M800s and my precious buddies Ajay, Madhu, Indivar, Rajeev, Sheetal, Sachin, Sudhakar, and many others, and of the innumerable rides to Nandi Hills, Mekedaatu, Mysore road ! Wish they would return !

A version of this picture of Elphinstone Movies was posted by Anjan before. I see some Buicks, maybe a Minerva, Hudson and Morrises.

Beau Geste with Ronald Colman was released in 1926.

This song from the film Howrah Bridge (1958) shows Madhubala and Ashok Kumar singing and moving through the Calcutta streets in the dark. Though for much of the song no cars can be sighted, the btime between 1.14 to 1.20 mins brightens our eyes as three classics can be seen following the duo. These are a Fiat Millecento (dukkar), a Mercedes Ponton (must have been brand new) and a Landmaster taxi. These precious six seconds in the 3.33 minutes song are the most precious !

The song is otherwise quite "run of the mill" and for a great composer like O.P. Nayyar, we would have expected a better score. The other super melodious songs from this film however befit the maestro.

Definitely a Chevrolet Tourer from 1929/30. Should have been almost new.

This car from the Elphinstone Movies picture a few posts ago, is almost certainly a Minerva. Question is what model and where is she ?

Anjan
Hi
The report is correct.
According to the Limca book of records Regal was the 1st AC theatre in India.
AFAIR(it is more than 50 years back and my memory could be playing tricks ) Guns of Navarone was released at Regal and was the first western movie to run for more than 25 weeks.
Regards

HI
AFAIR it is Waqt. You can see Sadhana in the frame. Humraaz had Sunil Dutt and Vimi and no Sadhna or Raaj Kumar.
