I do not wish to start a new thread on Hearse's, simoly because there are not enough pictures to show. But, some trivia:
Bombay had a Rolls Royce hearse scrapped years ago.
There was a DeSoto hearse, ended up in Chor Bazar.
There was a Ford Pinto hearse.
A Chevy 1959 with CH registration at Saat Rasta
In Pune there was a pre 1940 Vauxhall hearse, created from a sedan.

Any one remebers anything more?

I think this one is seen briefly in this song from the 70s movie 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar'?

Sirjee, that is a Dodge 1956. I was referring to a 1947 DeSoto, may have been a Dodge, fluid drive, commonly know as baloon.

What about the early Dodge from Bangalore now in Pune? I believe that too was a hearse.

The blue car is a W123 coupe, I wonder how many of these cars exist in India?

The middle photo of that coupe is the best, a real classy collector car.
The last photo of the 115, that car seems to be travelling a lot on 2 wheels because I have seen the same car being towed about a month ago late in the evening in Mumbai near the entrance to BKC.

Well, there was Rattan's car, then the actor whose cars were all painted black and white, and possibly two more in Mumbai, of which one had a Delhi registration.

As Harit says, besides the one in the Picture (is this Rattan's car...i dont know?), one is with a friend, a collector, which was ex Raj Kumar's car, there was one with a Delhi number yes, one which was and i believe is still with Vinod Khanna but that one is rarer, its a 300CD a 300 diesel coupe, one red one which was bought from Madras STC buy a dealer (also a 300 CD), dont know where it went. Besides these, i have seen two in Delhi, one white colour, bad condition and a mint condition metallic brown, direct import at Hanuman Road, owned by the person who also owned a deep maroon late 30s Rollys Royce coupe which he picked up in the mid 80s from Rajasthan in mint condition, dont know if he still has these with him.

Im told Madras had a few of these W123 coupes.

Mr.Raj.Kumars car was painted Dark Blue by me, when bought and was sold to someone you know. She was a 230C, LHD manual.

Well, after a long time the '61 220S finally comes to life! She is running well, with no over heating, even after 6-7 hours of continuous running today. The exhaust note is loud because the silencer box is the rotten khatara one from my Fiat Palio which has been discarded! Also, the exhaust pipes have not been welded completely with each other, as it'll have to be taken out in any case, so some noise is being created by this as well. As you can make out, the tappets, on atleast 2 cylinders are making noise; this is something my mech will adjust after some more running.

The dual carbs are hopeless though, they will just not respond to any tuning at all. The butterfly valves on both carbs are too worn out, will have to fabricate and replace them. Have just ordered a pair of dash pot bellows which are now leaking (these carbs have these miniature shock absorbers attached to the carb body with a jet inside), and they do seem to have some role, though I am quite clueless as to what the function is. Have also ordered some rather pricey Royze Carb kits from the US, for these Solex 34 PAITA carbs. No jets in the kits though, only gaskets, washers, diaphragms, needle valve and mixture adjusting screw.

All this should make a difference in the running and idling of the car.

Attached is an illustration of the dash pot (shock absorber) and bellow, marked by the red arrows. Also a video of the engine starting up.
