Really enjoyed viewing the Pataudi run pictures S.B.Jatti.I viewed many of them again and again. Many of the cars take us really back in time and their conditions are commendable in most cases.
Its news that there will be vintages and classics on display during the Commonwealth Games.Again that's a nice effort taken by the HMCI to showcase our vintage and classic wealth. The people must know what goes behind maintaining these machines and keep them running. Cheers!

There is some fabulous automotive art on display at the S & S Art Gallery, 428/1, MG Road, Ghitorni, New Delhi (Mr. Suresh Kumar Mobile: 9810384291). Do take a look at the attached pictures of the paintings by Suresh and Sudhir and plan a visit to their gallery. Their work is really good. Below is some background on the two artists - HMCI will be collaborating on their exhibition to be held at India Habitat Centre next month.

Suresh and Sudhir collaborate deeply to create art through different mediums. They work primarily with oil and acrylic on canvas, and water colours. They are also exploring expressing ideas through installations and digital art. Their passion for Vintage cars has led them to create realistic oil paintings on these magnificent machines with great Indian royal architecture. They feel that most of the contemporary automotive artworks have a feel of “poster” or “catalogue”.

They both wish to leave behind a body of work that will inspire feelings of joy and happiness and so driven by a common goal came together to express themselves through what they call ‘Art Positive’.

Sudhir Bhagat has over 20 years of experience as a designer and creative director providing consultancy to some of the world’s most creative advertising networks. Based in New Delhi, he studied applied art (Delhi College of Art) and has to his credit some of the most iconic and popular advertising campaigns on brands such as Adidas, Pedigree, Sony, Panasonic, and Yamaha. His work has been recognized and awarded both locally and by international juries in New York, Asia-Pacific, the UK, and Europe.

Suresh Kumar is an illustrator par excellence. He has developed and brought to life some of the most lovable characters in contemporary Indian memory, over a career that has spanned more than two decades. He is on the panel of artists of the Indian Department of Posts and has designed and created more than 70 postage stamps.

Trained in applied art (Delhi College of Art) Suresh also spent time drawing caricatures and cartoons for leading Indian English dailies.
