The Police models must have been the earlier model that did not have fins, maybe the police were supplied with the older versions when the new ones with the fins came out can someone confirm the dates of appearance of the various Dodge kingsways in India with the relevant photos of the models and variants.

AFAIK the early fin-tailed mopars (used to define Plymouths Dodges and Desotos of that era) came out in 1955 in India, the later long-finned ones (as this police car) came in 1956.

There was a black Dodge Kingsway 1957 with maroon sides in Mumbai which belonged to either the fire brigade or the police. Even took part in an event. Subsequently auctioned off. Anyone remembers this?

I thought I would bring last years thread on the Tolly Car Show forward as an comparison and reference and had posted a few shots of these magnificent surroundings of the Tolly Club.

Hopefully we will see their Dodge Ambulance restored for next year or at least put on display.

Not a bad idea.

By the way who is doing the restoration of the ambulance?
