@ Karl & Stanher,
I will ask the owner about that horn button if he wants to keep it or not.
Will reply within a week as the owner has gone Pune & coming Mumbai next Friday.

Can Any one throw some light on the Head Light Dimmer Switch for the FIAT 103, I have heard that the Jewel Light on the dasboard (green color when lit) if rotated will make the light dim, any info on that.

Yes this is true. If you rotated the light cover it would dim the light so that it didn't bother you on long drives. It was not the dimmer switch but the high beam indicator light.

This was the light just above the wiper switch next to the ignition key slot. The indicator light on the right corner of the dash also could be roataed and dimmed a very nice feature on these cars, was discontinued later

Do not give up hope. miracles are know to happen you might just get lucky and land the car of your dreams.

Do try to be nice when at work in your office though instead of trying to access blocked websites or get a Blackberry to have the best of both worlds !!!!!

trammway, its an aftermarket horn-button made for most small Standard cars- fits the 10, Herald and Gazel.

Saw these wheelcaps at a market in Kolkata. The smaller ones are for the Ambys and Landys. Any guess about the larger ones? Should belong to some American car of the 1950's.

Asking the gurus for reaffrming my know how

1. The handels were of alluminium with Ivory bakelite knob and ivory plastic backing cups for millicentos and elegent.

2. For selects was the scheme in all black or still Ivory.

Also do both of the handles for select were grooved (milling inside) to attach to the doors or were square as Padmini.

3. Did the rear light base of aluminium had a shorter beak (the protudion on the top) than the current padmini ones.

1. - Correct

2. - Select and Super Selects had inside handles in Aluminium with black bakelite knobs for the winder. Both handles were milling type.

(Incidentally my 1961 1100 Export which came from London has the original interior handles, but the square pattern fitting. A couple of seniors have confirmed that the imported cars would have these.

3. - Select tail lights (which came with and without reflectors) did have slightly smaller 'beaks' on them from what I have seen.
