Whatever is in front of the C seems to be curved so I am not sure I like the MC idea although there is nothing else I know of that fits and it is not a French registration as they all had the letter after the numerals.
I guess this one will have to remain a mystery.

Agree with CEDRIC, secondly this does not to be either India or Ceylon and would look at checking or doing some research across Jawa, southern Indonesia , Might or could be BANGLADESH ( whatever it was called before partition)

Cheers

I have been trying the read the registration but the best I can do is C356 with another letter in front of the C. Can you tell what it is on the original?
It looks like " C" only to me.

The second picture is definitely India, and the 3 pictures are owned by the same person and he claims them to be all India.

Kasli,
Indonesia never used the letter C and only started with letter codes in 1917 anyway so not there.
Not East Bengal either.

Nopes, post independence, East Bengal became East Pakistan.

Which subsequently became Bangladesh, circa 1971.

A great photo from the family archives!

If anyone here knows Naozer Aga, you'll realise he looks exactly the same today! Though probably perched atop a superbike.

EDIT: As KartikeyaL points out via PM, I had shared pics of the same car 8 years ago in this post (Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars).

Superb indeed!
Is the picture dated? The car looks brand new, look at the spotless tyres with full tread.

A keen enthusiast and fellow BHPian shared these superb images from his family archives. He is keen to know if any of them survive? I'm identifying them to the best of my ability - please feel free to correct me.
