Hi Tonrag,

I am wondering why you have recorded only 20 MG TC's in India in 22 years. There must be more. Mumbai had more than 10, but they all spread out slowly. And somewhere registrations change or get lost, making it difficult to keep track.
About 1 year ago one MG came out from a building in Mumbai and went to Mumbai chor bazar. It was picked up by someone from Bangalore. I got a few loose parts from that.
Another story I have not succeded to confirm is that one Mr. Jhaveri from Bangalore picked up two MG TC's from Vohra in the 1980's.
BTW, I picked up 2 lots of MG parts from Bangalore, one lot about 10 years ago, another lot in this year. But the parts I need still elude me, 4 connecting rods. Can you help?

That 170V as per Harit is alive and well and lives in Delhi with a nice bunch of other interesting cars

This one is with a Parsi friend in town. I photographed it at a rally before I knew him. It now rests in his garage with 4 jacks to raise it up.

If we look closely, possibly this same car is visible in the background of the picture of the copper/black MG posted by Harit - both cars sport painted rims and no wipers.

How can the meters look complete when the big round one supposed to be on the left side is missing?
BTW, did you notice something about the stepney? Or the wiper motors? Or the rear view mirror?
It has an extra accessory in the bumper though!

Apart from that from what i could see in these two pics the tail lamps, the seats, and the rear view mirror are certainly not original.The car also doesn't seem to have a wipermotor.

This is how you can take an MG for a test drive. I too have done so in the past. The car requires some detailing, should really not be a big job.

Yes, they had taken it out for a test drive.Had some minor issues I was told.
I have some more pics of his MG and other MG's in b'lore , shall post them later.

Ok.We normally strip the car down to the last nut & bolt and then re-build the car from scratch and the initial test drive's are normally without the body.We then do various ones during the restoration process depending on the progress with or without the body.

- that there is quite a bit of detailing that needs to be done on this car to make it perfect.
