Thanks Behramji for your keen interest in the CIVAA events. We would be very glad to have you with us for one or more of our runs.

Our next run will be a breakfast run, sometime in August. We leave by 7.00 am and come back by 12.00 pm, after having breakfast at a location some 30-50 kms away.

And thereafter, sometime in the winter we will organise full day runs like we did yesterday. We would be happier if you can come for a full day outing.

In case you are agreeable, we will inform you in advance for planning your trip.

The man with a yellow T is Ashish Limbanna behind the wheel of my car. Yes the Morris has been very recently put on its four wheels and will be spruced up by the owner as and when he gets the genuine spares. Thanks for your liking My Lady in Black. She is in fine fettle.

Dear Anjanji - thanks for your reply, please do let me know the winter event schedule well in advance. Depending on work schedule and availability of leave, I would definitely like to attend. The advantage of Nagpur is that it is a straightforward drive and the distance is also not too short, neither too long. 800 kms is very much doable in one full day.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

The Cent Ind Vintage Automotive Association is participating at the Vintage and Classic event in Goa on 1/10/2016. The event is being organised at panaji by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).

It has been decided to drive down from Nagpur to Panaji - a distance of 2200 kms via Ahmednagar - Kolhapur and to Panaji. One bike and at least four to five cars are expected to participate by driving down the entire distance over a stretch of three days.

Yesterday, 18/09/2016, we had a test run from Nagpur to the Nawegaon Reservoir, near the Nawegaon National Park, covering a 130 + 130 kms distance. All the cars successfully completed the test run. Another test run is due very shortly.

Thanks Bulldogji for your encouragement to the CIVAA team. Maybe, this is the longest run for classics (none of the vehicles going is a vintage) viz. approximately 2400 kms (1200 + 1200 kms) in India if we are correct. However, we would expect feedbacks for longer runs ( 2400 kms plus) done in the past.

This exceeds the recent record breaking Mumbai- Ahmedabad- Rajkot- Gondal and back run by vintages and classics that totalled nearly 682 kms + 39 kms = 721 kms + 721 kms = 1450 kms . This was covered during November 2nd to November 7th 2015.

I think maybe the Bombay guys have done more than that on their Rajasthan and The south India trip .

Please also see this link and the images on the Facebook page of CDG around this date. The Mumbai -Gondal- Mumbai run is listed on the VCCCI website as from Nov 2 , 2015 onwards.

But actually it was organised during the third and fourth week of December 2015. During Christmas time the rallyists were driving.
