As always, extremely enjoyable. Thanks Aniruddh. It was a treat for me to finally see the Invicta on road (had previously seen it only during restoration). I look forward to the next drive - we should do one before the monsoon, though we need to start and end much earlier to beat the heat.

Here are some more pictures of the Chrysler New Yorker and Invicta Black Prince. Great opportunity to see cars that normally don't turn up for local events.

Can any of the experts comment on the colour of the Black Prince ? Karl, are you aware if this was the original colour or if it was available in this shade as well originally

The colour looks little jarring for such a stately car (my view)

Best Regards & Drive/Ride Safe

I've been dying to see a proper shot of this car. What a stunner. Trust Zagato to have bodied this Lancia.

Does the rear of this same car feature in one of the current Vodafone add where the little girl goes cycling by the boys house? That car looks like a stunner as well-just thought it could be this car.

Regards

The car from the Vodafone add looks like a Volvo P1800.

I kind of thought that as the second possibility because of the distinct rear bumper horns. Thanks!

The '64 Chrysler New Yorker had caught my eye in the first of pics you'd posted too. Thanks. Lovely car, and I particularly appreciate the owner keeping her in this original condition of understated elegance. Is the paint original? Any shots of the interiors? Which of the V8s does she run? I see a Delhi number, what's the history? There's a nice one of the succeeding 1965-68 model in Delhi still.

Yes, so it is. Maybe the ad's been shot abroad. I was aware of one in Delhi many, many years ago (white coloured) that I narrowly missed picking up, but was told that she'd been subsequently scrapped, when I enquired again. So, maybe, maybe not...

Superb! I think only Mumbai can boast of these beauties. As a young boy I have gone in these BIG cars called as BIG TAXI :-)

The weather is hot but i have noticed evenings are comfortable, so how about another drive in the evening culminating in a dinner @ maybe gallops where parking is ample. Good chance to take some night shots of the cars.

Only issue here would be traffic which is quiet a bit even on sundays. I would recommend early morning around sevenish.
