That's a lovely find Amit - and very rare. Take good care to preserve the seemingly original paint and finishing..

Hello all,

Is this the right place to showcase my vintage car collection? If not, which is the correct thread (other the the scale model thread). I also have a stamp collection on cars. Can i showcase them on Team BHP?

Regards,
AJ

Hi!

Postage Stamps are here:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/beyond...to-1975-a.html (Stamps featuring Vintage and Classic Cars upto 1975)

Scale models are here:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...el-thread.html (The Scale Model Thread)

I still feel that there should be a separate thread for Vintage and Classic Car (VCC) scale models.

Cheers harit

Nice thread Brings back some fond memories! I had a huge collection of these which am sure is lying somewhere in the store room. Will try and dig it out sometime. I remember having the amby in three colours. Taxi yellow and black. White station wagon (an ambulance if I remember right), and red. Had fiats too, old and new. Also had a couple of Willys and some imports too! Solid metal casting and build quality.

Matchbox was the BAAP of all toys during my childhood days. Expensive and mostly imported, they were rides mostly the rich kids owned. Oh I remember how jealous I used to get

Also I remember one Hot Wheels off roading/ dakar jeep. One of my favourites, It came in red white and green. It was not exactly a 'dinky' toy, but rather a scale model. Couldn't find a reference pic. Does any one have one?

And any one knows where you can get your hands on such old toys in Bangalore?

The following are reference pics taken from google to show you some of the other toys I had, or rather have tucked away somewhere in the corner of my home:

Dear Aj7,

Yes there were many and we had a very active group out there. But at some point lost the stream. We no more have the group of guys now. There were some reasons cited for this, which I do not know now. How ever I am sharing few of my stuff here- hope this is the appropriate thread to share the pictures -

Wow very nice, I need to get this 404, 504 and few more Peugeot's to complete my line up. But as you know there are lot of beauties to collect and at times you loose track.
