Carwale vintage and classic car drive - Vashi - Lonavala

These days a lot of News Papers carry write-ups on the display and forthcoming Carwale event. Here is one from Hindustan Times.

Good to see what competition can do. Suddenly VCCCI woke up and is apparently organising a disply at Woodehouse Gymkhana in Colaba where selected members have been invited to display cars. Further details not yet known, this is only for the selected, as per VCCCI regular practice. Just imagine, VCCCI holding an event not in April/May

Hi All,

Here are some more pics clicked today. There have been few additions in the display cars. A Studebaker, Mini Minor, Merc 200D and another Model A have been added. The Jaguar has been removed

This Jag used to be parked at a building near Teenbatti decades ago. I really missed out on it.

Maybe, but this car was always parked at Colaba, in the lanes opposite Strand cinema, and was green in colour. I have been seeing this car there since the 1970's. Maybe she was kept in Teenbatti for a while.

The car of Teen Btti is still there and has not moved since the mid seventies. It gives company to a nice Bike.

A superb run for all the cars. Compliments to the team at Carwale and Sportscraft. The weather was just correct and with good parking and also view breathtaking from Dukes.

Heartiest commendations to Carwale and Mr Karani. Who had organized a brilliant event. I am sure it will grow larger in the years to come. I had a heartbreaking morning when my Rover whom I had tested all of last week just refused to get out of the garage with electrical problems. Well what to say the lady has attitude. However a last minute call to my friend Amit and we replaced her with his Alfa and atleast the event was not a total washout for me.

It was good to see all the bHpians, and look forward to more pictures, unfortunately left my camera back in the Rover and missed some fabulous opportunities to photograph cars on Pebble Beach- ish style lawn.

A few questions.

What is that rather distressed black sedan with the bonnet open next to the picture of teh Packard ?

Who owns that Blue ? Black Buick...is ut a roadmaster or super

Also who is that guy standing by the Lancia.....looks very familiar !
