Default Classic sports cars in India (1945 - 1975)

We have a few general car threads running, but not one like this from what I can see. Ther are a number of cars I have seen on the roads, Healey's, Triumphs, Lotus', Lancia, Ferraris, etc.

Would be good to see what's about, what shape it is in and whose maintaining them.

I have chosen the term "classic" as opposed to vintage as the date range is slightly more modern.

I hope I don't need to explain what "sports car" means, but in the interest of clarity, for my purposes I am referring to 2 seaters, 2+2s, and sporty GTs.

Coupes and cabrios all welcome.

Fabulous! Didn't even know one of these existed in Mumbai. Having said that, my awareness of the muscle car scene is fairly low and therefore not a yardstick of any kind. Just glad that there are people out there who take the pains to keep these beauties going! Ravi

Please could we try and put up a picture with relevant information in every post if possible.

It would be good to compile a list of the most desirable sports cars in India.

probably the most desireable sports car for me in India would be the aluminium bodied XK120 from Delhi.

Pictures are availabe somewhere on TBHP.

Another very interesting car that started the muscle car concept also needs to be on this list 1957 Chrysler 300C. There is only one in India in Hyderabad. Last I knew it was awaiting restoration.

The Rossi Ferrari 275 GTB/C would have topped the list had it not left the country.

Then comes the Ex Dubash Ferrari GT.

The you have the Alfa Zagato and Lancia from Madras

Camaro picture. (Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars)

I guess the Camaro in Pic # 3 from the link above does qualify. There are better pictures elsewhere in the forum.
