| This weekend I happened to come visit the AutomartIndia car mela. I checked out two 2003 Accent CRDI's, both done around 63000 km. The quoted price was 4.9 lakhs. I enjoyed the car a lot and never realised that a diesel could be so much fun to drive. I haggled a bit and they are ready to offer me the car for 4.8 lakhs and put in new tubeless tyres aswell as comprehensive insurance (insurance value 4.25 lakhs) for the year. I know that typically AutoMartIndia does charge a premium without adding too much value to the car. But is this price a lot more than the market price or is it reasonable. Also wanted to know if its worth going for a used CRDI which has done 63000 + kms and does the car have any specific problems (have read of some fuel pump failures after 80KKm, is this true ?). Please let me know your views so that I can decide to pick this vehicle or look elsewhere. |

| Hai, There is a usedcar price chart available with www.jmdcars.com as per that price list(it has been last updated on 22may2006)it shows the price for 2003 model CRDi as 5.25 lacs.so the price which automart has quoted seems to be on the lower side.if the cars are pune registered, get in touch with Sanjay Hyundai\Kothari Hyundai guys to know the history of the car.i myself was on lookout for one a year back and i was searching thru Automartindia. All they showed me were MH09 registered CRDi's and my friend in Sanjay Hyundai advised me not to go for them.however one of my friend who works for TJC pickedup a used CRDI from Automart in Pune and is pretty happy with the car.he hasnt had any issues I dont know if i have helped you or confused you |

| Thanks, jraj. One of the models is a Pune registered one, it has alloys with 196/65R14 tyres. The car had great grip but had a lot of tyre/road noise, probably because of the broad tyres. The other car was a MH-10 and had bald tyres and the body looked in better condition. |

| Hello mates, I need an urgent piece of advice from the experts. One of my colleagues is selling off his company leased Fiesta 1.6SXi Sep 2006 model (non-alloy wheels) as he is chucking the job. Car has done close to 12k kms and seems to be pretty well maintained. Carwale gives me a quote of 5.3 lac for this description. Wanted to check if this is a good price? Prompt comments/feedback/suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks |

Have you checked the carwale value correctly? It gives about 6lacs. One year old Fiesta 1.6SXis are going about 6.5 lacs in Bangalore. If the vehicle is in good condition, 5.5 certainly is a good deal. Regards, Mohan. | |

Infractions: 0/1 (5) | Folks, I am from bangalore. I am new to this forum and planning to buy a used car. I ve shortlisted three cars... 1. Honda City 1.3 (coz of its superior durability and good mileage) 2. Accent VIVA CRDI (coz of mileage and liked the styling) 3. TATA Safari (coz of the true suv look and good for long drives) i think, u can help me to find the best of the lot and suggestions are also welcome. it will be good if u can tell me the approximate price of these cars in good condition. i will be using it for around 1500 km a month. and its gonna be my first car. | Senior - BHPian | Go with Accent VIVA CRDI as it is more refined that TATA safari. Moreover it is a diesel and you never know when the fuel cost will rise. For details regarding hte prices, visit carwale.com. It will give you the indication of prices what you can give if you are buying individual/from dealers.

| Senior - BHPian | I recommend the Safari (Dicor 3.0 ltr) if you can find one going cheap. IMO the Safari fits the bill perfectly for city driving and if you wish to do some terrain driving. We have quite a few happy truck owners and fans on this very forum. Will be a futile attempt in 9 out of 10 tries. Good luck !!
