Ford Mustang spied at ARAI, Pune

Last month, we had reported that Ford had imported one unit of the car for testing. Now, the car has been spotted at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to obtain all the approvals necessary for a launch.

The variant spotted, is a GT Premium Fastback, which has a 5.0-litre, V8 petrol engine, that develops 435 BHP and 542 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, which can be operated by using paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel.

The car spotted is painted in orange and has black multi-spoke alloy wheels. The exteriors of the Mustang GT Premium Fastback gets features such as automatic HID headlamps with wiper activation, LED tail lamps and fog lamps, pony projection lights, rear spoiler and heated door mirrors with integrated spotter mirrors and turn indicators. The interiors of the car are equipped with dual-zone climate control, a 4-gauge instrument cluster with chrome accents, a multi-function steering wheel, a 50-50 split folding rear seat and heated and cooled front seats among others.

This Mustang is likely to be launched in India by the end of the year. It will be brought to India via the CBU (completely built unit) route.
