The highlight of this year's Auto Expo in the Amercian car maker's pavilion is undeniably the Ford Mustang. The Endeavour and some fun activities are the other high points of the Ford pavilion.

This pony was showcased in a closely guarded area. That didn't stop moderator Aditya from giving us a preview of this iconic muscle car:



Its got a very fastback-like body shape:



Smoked headlamps with DRLs:

The iconic brand will soon be available in India:


5.0L V8 makes 420 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque:

Days before our Official Review goes live, here's a small preview at the next-gen Ford Endeavour:

The new Ford Endeavour is quite a crowd puller:


This SUV has been launched in India priced between Rs. 24.75 - 27.36 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai):


This is the Sunset Red colour:


A look at the Golden Bronze shade:




Panther Black with a crash bar attached:



Engine + gearbox combo is displayed on the front fenders:

Ford's pavilion has some user engagement activities as well.

Take this as an example - it shows off Ford's SYNC voice-assisted system:


Now here's the twist - users can sit inside and sing their favourite song and SYNC will record the audio, the little camera above will record their video and upload it to youtube:



Here, users can paint Ford logos / symbols etc. in the colour they choose:

Customising options for EcoSport will begin later this year:


It will include smoked headlamps and fog lamps:

The new Endeavour, are the driver seats raised up like the middle row seats Or they are similar low as the one from the last model?

I was hoping to see a D1 segment sedan, the Mondeo in particular from Ford India, especially as it has won many accolades in Europe and UK.

But I guess the SUV is the current flavor of the nation.

That Endeavour in Panther Black badly needs a detailing. Wonder why Ford cannot take care of such essential things for a new launch. Good to see the other colours here.

Glad to note the official review for the Endeavour is only a few days away.

And how I wish Ford had brought the extremely brilliant Focus RS for the expo. They should have unveiled the Mustang here and saved that cost for importing an RS. That would have been the star of the show in that nitrous blue shade.

Ford has a lot of goodies up their sleeve, they just have no clue how to use them well in our country. Its sad really!

Ford, young boys and girls who love cars look out for these things and they are very important for the success of a brand!

I was thinking the same deetjohn! The Mustang is a nice to have in Ford's portfolio to show its prowess in India and maybe a handful of people will buy it. But for mango people like us, I'd have been happily drooling at a Focus RS in that shade of blue, if it was present!
Ford has to get the Mondeo/Focus in that 15-20L price bracket to fill the gap between the Ecosport and the Endeavor. Honestly, if I were to upgrade from my Fiesta I'd love to be in the Ford family and the Endeavor for me is out of reach!

Any reason why Ford Aspire is not figuring anywhere? There is a conspicuous absence of regular sedans going by the photos.

Superb roundup there. Finally seems like Ford has two huge crowd pullers, the Mustang and the Endeavour at display and they seem to be here for real and available unlike many other tacky concepts.

I have to say, it is the Endeavour that stands out. This is a sure hit for Ford. The tv commercial doing rounds has a shot, towards the end, where they show the Endeavour parked. It is at a slight angle with the wheels turned right. The way it looks in this shot is just amazing.

Sadly; the Endeavour is about the only interesting car in their portfolio. They should seriously think about bringing in the Mondeo.
