...and then there is the MPV (on display) which most Indians are eagerly waiting for:

Toyota's eye candy - Le Mans prototype - Hybrid TS040:



It has got a carbon fibre composite body:


3.7L V8 petrol engine. It produces over 986 BHP (petrol + hybrid):



Notice the carbon fibre weaves on the body, inside the headlamps, everywhere:

Toyota Mirai Hydrogen fuel cell car:


The basic premise of the Toyota Mirai is simple. Have a tank filled with hydrogen (H), take oxygen (O2) from the atmosphere and do some advanced chemistry between the two resulting in just 3 end products - electricity, heat and water:


The Mirai looks different...that's an understatement. Its design remains a hit or a miss:

The Japanese manufacturer has a safety corner too.

This machine simulates the importance of driving aids - traction control, ESP etc.


Users get to drive with the driving aids on first and then without. Its good to see manufacturers spreading awareness on safety features:


This is a Liva simulator. You're actually using the controls of this Liva and virtually driving (the screen ahead shows you the road):

Any news about Toyota Vios ? I read somewhere Toyota will display the Vios sedan to be launched in India in 2017. Or may be they will unveil it in coming days ?

Were Vios, Rush and RAV 4 on display? I was of the opinion that Toyota may think of bringing them to India in 2016/2017 though there are news that next gen Vios will be launched in India in 2018.

Very disappointed with the Toyota pavilion.
Was eagerly waiting for a preview of the Vios but the company has decided against showcasing that.

Its a lame effort and with the Crysta launch, Innova may touch touch Endy territory.

umm... i don't see the new Fortuner anywhere???? What's Toyota playing at??? Any news on it? And to think after Ford being so proactive one would expect toyota to sit up and take notice.

What a sad pavilion. The least Toyota could have done is displayed car which they intend to launch in near future. Iam not sure how difficult it was to display the new fortuner.

Why display car which you are never going to launch here anyways.

Another half-hearted attempt by a manufacturer. I believe this is an insight into their seriousness for the market. Toyota with the Innova has kind of taken the market for granted and hence no display of Vios, Fortuner or any other planned launch.

Or are they gonna surprise us??? No way!!!
