Thanks for the report. Great to see more and more manufactures are keeping ISOFIX anchors in their cars.

The Rear of the i20 refresh does indeed look good. It should once again help in retaining and in building further on the numbers it already does on a monthly basis.

The i20 had started to look a bit dated though it was a very fresh design at launch and lead the class. This will take them through 2 more years. That said with TATA competition entering in this class by end of 2019 it will be an interesting space to watch.

Every manufacturer seems to be launching cars in either Blue or Orange or both.

Small correction. Only the Asta(O) gets the rear wash/wipe. Asta and Asta Dual Tone only get a defogger.

This is in fact a disappointment, I would appreciate split folding rear seats for obvious reasons and do not prefer the center arm rest with cup holders, since they do not provide good back support for a middle seat passenger.

I don't get it - why do manufacturers insist on treating the rear wiper as an uber premium feature that only the top end variant has it?

The car though looks refreshingly updated. Wonder how long the introductory prices will prevail.

I really like the rear of the new i20. I think it looks better than the old one, and quite premium. But, at about 50-60K more than the Baleno (comparing top-end diesel versions), is it really worth it? It's not like it's much more feature-loaded than the Baleno.

Why did Hyundai choose not to unveil the automatic variant of the facelift i20 ? Isnt the CVT mated to the 1.2 ready yet ?

Not offering features is bad, taking existing ones away is worse.

Hyundai stripped the Sportz and Asta variants of some important features sometime last year, while slowly increasing prices. This facelift continues the trend. It's upto the market to decide with their wallets.

Dear all,
I think Hyundai has done a better job with exterior and interior of facelift. But they have cut down so many features too. Yes, as of now they have made ABS and Dual Airbags are standard across the range.

When Elite i20 was launched back in 2014 the sportz model was coming loaded with features like ACC, dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and camera with adaptive steering guidelines and the camera output was displayed in Auto dimming IRVM. In the current facelift, the auto dimming IRVM feature is completely removed from the i20 line up.

While if we compare the current i20 with Baleno, in Baleno ACC, Rear Parking Sensors, Rear wash and wipe with defogger, 60:40 split seats are standard across the range except the base sigma variant. Isofix child seat anchors which is premium feature of i20 is standard across the Baleno range.

Dear Sir

Rear Wiper is still better. lol:

The facelifted i20 misses out on luggage lamp in all variants except top trim.

It misses out on keyless entry in Magna Variant. Keyless Entry is now a days a common feature in cars like Redi-Go, Kwid and Alto 800.

It misses out on Tilt steering in sports variant.

IMHO the above mentioned features should be considered from Magna Variant considering the positioning of the Elite i20 as a premium hatch back.

I think the Maruti Baleno is highly VFM considering the features it offers as compared to price.

Am actually disappointed with the absence of an AT variant. Direct competitors in this segment already have an AT variant on offer.

Purely cosmetic. Very minor. Not at all impressed.

I somehow do not like the new family face from Hyundai. It is unfortunate that the same not-so-beautiful grille shape is flowing from Grand i10 / Xcent to Verna and now to i20. Even the new tail lamps fails to impress - I somehow like the old one. The alloys are drool-worthy though. I loved them.

I would love to see how the facelift of i20 Activ looks like. The inverted grille will look awful with those curves - Oh. wait, are they even being sold now?

Amidst all the complaints about the lack of features in the lower variants of Elite i20(which is completely valid) it is good to see the introduction of rear armrest for the Elite i20. For some reason, the manufacturers were keen on providing this feature on compact sedans but always skimped on this feature when it came to the 'premium' hatchbacks. The reasoning behind this, whatever it was, used to baffle me.
