Tata Motors has displayed the Racemo - its first car under the TAMO brand at the 2018 Auto Expo. The company has also shown an EV version of the sports car.
Racemo was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. Sadly, In July 2017, it was reported that the car will not go into production:
Powered by a 1.2-litre, turbocharged Revotron petrol engine putting out 187 BHP (@ 6,500 rpm) & 210 Nm of torque (@ 2,500 rpm). The car is built on a MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich (MMS) structure and designed at Tata's design studio in Turin, Italy:
Bi-LED headlamps with eyebrow-like DRLs, wide black grille and bumper at the front:
Racemo is mid-engined and gets a red engine cover:
Production number is displayed on the front bumper and sides of the car:
Disc brakes with ABS+EBD all-round. 17-inch black alloys with 205/50 section tyres at the front and 18-inch alloys with 235/45 section rubber at the rear:
Cabin features a black and white dashboard, flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel and red inserts at various places. Instrument cluster includes three screens. Upholstery is black with red stitching and dual front airbags are standard:

Shown for the first time, the Racemo EV is a special Auto Expo edition. Max power, range and top speed are rated at 150 kW (201 BHP), 350 km and 200 km/h respectively. Length x width x height = 3,985 mm x 1,824 mm x 1,208 mm:
Displayed as the "Racemo+-", the car has a blue EV badge on the front grille:
While the regular Racemo comes in a white & red colour scheme, the EV gets a white & blue scheme and EV decals on the sides:
Racemo bagged the German Design Award 2018 and proudly displays its achievement:
Wheel and tyre sizes are identical to the regular Racemo, but alloy wheel design is different:
Interiors feature blue inserts instead of red. Being an EV, there are no paddle shifters in this Racemo:
3-point seatbelts are standard, while racing seats with harnesses are optional:
