Thread moved out from the Assembly Line. Thanks for sharing!

Rather straight forward design that should offend none.

Is this an Indian product, or yet another brand assembling Chinese two wheelers in India? Pricing seems to be on the higher side when compared to Chinese assembled scooters like the Okinawa range.

I think you have a point here. They may be selling Chinese scooter assembled here. Like what at least used to happen with many Indian smart phones.

By the way Okinawa scooter is Japanese.

Is that the price for lithium-ion battery variant? If so, this is interesting, even if overpriced by about 10k. Hopefully lithium-ion battery would have significantly more life and hold charge better towards the end of life. Now, if only government could show some sensibility and waive off road tax or electric vehicles, there is no reason why people would not adopt them.

Any information about the weight of the battery pack? This design will be extremely helpful for people who do not have charging points in their parking lots. Also having an option for dual batteries means we can have one battery always charged at home while the other does the duty on bike. Can avoid the situations where you walk up to the bike only to find the battery pack empty.
Finally it all depends on the weight.

That's a long list of features there and did I read it correct - 90 Nm @ 100 rpm. Also any idea on the list of dealers available? Their website have no information on the list of dealers.

When will it be available to buy? I checked online, didn't get any info.

This is a start up by IITians and the product is made in India. Surely they would have procured parts from China as well.

The battery design is the key and so is the diagnostic ability.

They are appointing first dealer in NCR with more to follow.

+1.

To make matters worse, an BHPian had reported here how crude they had just scratched the Luyuan logo and just stuck Okinawa stickers on top of it.

Good to hear. :)

Ather is a similar startup by IITians and product is scheduled to be launched soon. It also offers similar features in terms of connectivity and diagnostics. Don't think this is from the same family as the design is very different. Does anyone here have any insights on Ather S340?

They say that they will provide lifetime free battery replacement, with a big * accompanying it.

Let's wait for full T&C. One of my friend is interested in picking one up.

For us Mumbaikars, removable batteries and ability to charge at home is a big plus.

As expected, the company is out to raise money - link. Wondering which VC would invest in a new company that only has a concept to its credit? And what's the business case? How exactly will 22 Motors compete once Hero, Honda etc. enter the e-scooter segment in a big way?
