Good to see CBR 250R is being re-launched with BS-IV specs. However, any idea on the launch date and the expected price at launch. Now that TVS Apache RR 310 is launched, hope Honda keeps the pricing at par with the Apache.

Would have liked to see the 300. IMO, nothing good about flogging outdated products discontinued from other markets

Hope?
Exactly what relevance is there for the 250R against the RR310 now, except for the brand name? The product remains almost unchanged ever since it was launched in the Indian market back in 2011. Dominar 400 might be relevant as well, when comparing the touring abilities.

ABS is just optional? I thought I read come April 2018, ABS will be mandatory on all motorcycles >125 cc sold in India?

Newly models launched post April 2018.
Most of the bikes from across manufacturers will be 'refreshed' before April just to avoid this. :Frustrati

So we'll never see an ABS equipped Royal In India in like forever!
All new models of two wheelers above 125 cc launched from April 1, 2018 must be equipped with ABS.
From April 1, 2019 every two wheeler above 125 cc sold in India must be equipped with ABS. That is when 100% of two wheelers >125 cc will be sold with ABS.
This is what the regulation states.

Seen this features in newly launched Hero Maestro Edge back in Sept 2017. After test ride of Maestro Edge, Activa 4G looked outdated. Honda is late in bringing this features to its moped. Honda Activa is an old moped, the badge of 4G or 5G doesn't make big difference.
