Just read through the thread a few pages back and the mahindra site and found the following points
2: I'm comfortable driving offroad although not yet driven a 4x4 in such conditions

I am ready to participate. Is it advisable to have a alternate driver other than a non driving wife for this? Any offroaders from Bangalore for a trying out the Thar?

The Mahindra Adventure site is up and its quite a well done portal. And the list of events especially the Raid/ Rally events and the trips are quite good. Hopefully will participate in one of the events this year.

BTW any idea what is this Autocross?

Milecruncher : Autocross is the 4 wheel version of the motocross. Its where a specific track is built for the cars, like say the super special stages in the rallies In rally we have different stages, in autocross we have only one track and maybe one or two stages (reverse).

Autocross is an event similar to the motocross events, Autocross is for 4 wheelers, whereas motocross is for 2 wheels.

A track is developed for the event and the competation is mostly based on fastest time. Something similar to SSS in the rallies.

BTW its great to hear about the great escape is relaunched. Hope we have some good entries this season also

My MGE would be totally sponsored by Mahindra as I was the runners-up at the Mahindra & NDTV National Auto Quotient and this was my prize So even the car would be provided by them(I hope it's the Thar )

I was given an option for C'magalur too which is happening on 9th July. But I am going to be busy that weekend. Hope Shahapur would be fun!
