The best great escape that I have attended since starting going to these events 3 years ago. The track was tough but only lightly so. There was no rain, but boy was it raining Thars. There were as many Thar's as other vehicles among the 40 or so 4wd participants
As I said it was raining only Thars. There were Thars in front and Thars behind. They were everywhere | Quote:

Cant say the trail was tough though it was nice. Good fun trail. Mr. Bhosale was saying that the 2wd trail was a lot flatter and yet pretty challenging for the 2wd participants, especially the noobs!!. We did quite a bit of slush, a bit of rockies and a couple of river crossings. Most of the trail was slush though. I guess if it had rained (not Thar's) the route would have been more challenging. |
It was nice meeting you 53 BHP! Seperation of 2wd & 4wd track was long pending. Participants enjoyed it. It was logistical nightmare for us, but it was worth it as people enjoyed it. All in all there were about 90 vehicles on trail. Imagine all of them on a single trail!
Wish it had rained more, terrain would have been much more challenging. But considering we had to wind it up by 2.00 to 3.00 p.m it was perfect!!
And yes...it rained THARs!! Quote:

Thanks garret, when we went on recee water was till bonnet level. Almost 4 days no rain. In a way it was better, we had no hydrostatic lock :-P Quote:

the track was so so, not too difficult, i think the lack of rains since the last two days made it all the more easy.was fun meeting all the guys out there.
good part this year was that since both tracks were separate we never had a lot of waiting to do on the track
one more point
but a much better organised event this time

Hey allan,
Thanks for coming man! Believe it or not this time we had 39 4wd's and 29 2wd's and clear reversal of trend. Glad people are buying 4wd's!! Plan to do even better job in chikmangalur. Wanna come?
Where are tons of pics from you baba? Quote:

Pissed me off. Then he attaches the tow rope to pull me. Since i was pissed, i stepped on the brake and let the recovery vehicle with road tyres spin for a while while i laughed my guts off. After min, i let him recover me. |
