I was in Coonoor sometime ago and really fell in love with the forests there. I hope someday I can join in a 4x4 excursion in those forests around Ooty and Coonoor, ideally in monsoon

Dear Friends,

MGE has lost its earlier days charm and gone into a cost cutting money making event.

We very very disappointed to see the way this event was organised.

There was no proper set timing to start registration.
Merchandise not provided to all participants in a vehicle.
Trail was too bad, even a M800 can do, final leg was the repeatation of the last year and we stopped by 1pm.
No marshals found, in other words dont need !.
No Sweeping vehicles found.
Break fast and lunch quality/items/service was pathetic.
People was treated poorly in the food venue, coupon was provided and guys who missed the coupons after the event was not provided food and there where forced to search their lost coupons.

This was not the way it used to be when M&M was handling directly.

Any how we have told bye bye to any more MGE till the time M&M decides to do by them self.

looks like you were unlucky rajith bhai, we had driven down from Goa, and believe me we had a wonderful time, the Rental Thar that was given to us was Brand new, and has set to rest any doubts i had about the Thar's capacity as a decent off roader, the event was well organised, but as usual could have been better.

Same here. We also got a brand new rental Thar and thoroughly enjoyed the event. Yes, the trail could have been better but at times the trail is like going to jungle to see the tiger -- matter of luck

I am sure MGE team tried their best.

PS: The AC is quite comfortable in the Thar -- even with the soft top.

Guys some pictures of the action would do please!!! A bunch of my pals from coorg to be specific 6+ jeeps were there, havn't heard from them either :( Was the event that bad, not to be shown in the pics or viceversa!!!
