4x4 NATURE RIDERS is organising an extreme offroad event on 28th of JULY.
Venue : Karnataka ( Belthangady - starting point -Bangady end point - kalasa )
total distance :35-40 km

Cost: Rs.4400 per head. Two people minimum per vehicle.

Only 4WD vehicles not exceeding 2400mm wheelbase are allowed. None of the Scorpios survived the easier part of the trail last year. Even Gurkha may have severe body damage.

Use 110/90 PHILLIPS (Germany) for your head lamps and also in the aux. JCB lamps, it will be Diwali for sure in front. However it will not work for fog as it will create a solid white wall in front of you.

Go for Hella DE fog lamp projectors as on my Jeep, they are small but work wonders, tried it in dense fog last year returning from AKC, EXAMM to Hyd. The reverse light on my Jeep is Hella, better than Neolite in terms of build quality, reflector, glass clarity and temper.

What should I say???....the write up compliments the photographs, the photographs compliments the terrain, the terrain compliments the Jeeps and the Jeeps compliment the drivers. The order may vary but the package is magnificent.

There is a lot to learn from this thread in slush and mud driving techniques, the yellow clay is the worst kind, also found in other parts of Deccan..makes most MT tyres impotent.

The green mountains,streams, weather, location, Jeeps, Jeepers, breakfast and all else are perfect ingredients for a dream OTR.

Reviving an old thread. Being from a close by place - Ujire, I can understand the conditions far too well, although not from a Jeeper's point.

It is conveniently scheduled between RFC and TPC, when the north-east monsoon is still raging in the hills. I hear this time it is entirely conducted in private land, so forestry permission shouldn't be an issue.
