I was just waiting for the fever of TPC-11 to die down, so that we could have some breather space for the Bhpians to look at the fantastic day we pune off roaders had on our Independence Day.
So to kick start, I mean jump start!!! With few talks over FB and over phone, I got connected to Vishal. Vishal confirmed that the plan is on for 15th. So on time we all met up at the Kadakwasala dam Chowpatty at exactly 6:45 am. The early birds are sequenced below:-
1) Land rover - Sudershan, Vishal Gurav, Ganjan and another Calm Gentleman (Sorry I forgot the name)
2) SWB - EXO 1 Vishal Chavan
3) 413 W - Me!!!
Rest jeepers made us wait till 7:30 before showing up, others included
4) Classic - Mateen
5) 410 W - Majid
6) SWB Low bonnet - Munshi
7) MM540 - Ritesh and Nilesh
So finally we set off towards an unknown path, so instead of calling it an offroading event we shall term it an exploration or recce as the team leader Mr Sudarshan termed it as!!!
We had a quick breakfast, and then moved on along the path. We made a quick stop on one of the pastured banks of the river, tried few small obstacles. The classic got struck in a gorge, had to towed by two mean machines, firstly ritesh tried towing the classic out, then Vishal has to assist him, since the 540 was also not getting enough traction to pull the 340 out.
Small hiccups: - We really had a tough time for few moments when my baby would just stall in the middle of the road. Wherein my ignition fuse was sort of loose, thankfully there was a gypsy mech within the gang. Once after that, few electrical glitches in Vishals SWB cropped up, the wires actually got burnt. The master (sudershanji) had a magical finger wherein that was fixed within moments. After that we had no stopping for any mechanical reasons!!!
We got split into two; one was headed by Vishal, where all the machines and their drivers followed. The other, Sudershan and his co - passengers moved on to another pasture.
We moved on the trail was amazing and challenging. I hope the pics do justice, for the fun we had. I thank Vishal G & Vishal C for the pics
