That white jeep is a CJ5 with nissan bd30 engine belongs to Basheer.


We are sorry on behalf of our club that we had to cancel
the event .

We have obtained permission from the forest department and police department .

Police have personally sat in the jeeps and have seen the whole track before hand.

Chief guest was the police .

We had planned everything meticulously.

Somebody from Hyderabad had planned to ruin the event and somehow some ministers and MPs made back to back complaints to the police and collector .people who give super bikes to their teenage sons .

These people thought there is some Jeep racing going on and betting involved.

We are planning to do the event again at the same place with the top brass present and helping us .

We thank our friend and sponsor KMC .

Details of the event will be posted shortly .

Did you get them on paper or was it just oral permissions??

And what were they doing when the policemen were trying to stop you guys?? Did they run away from the scene or changed sides???

For the next time, take the permissions on paper and scan them and upload online or email them to the participants. Ask the participants to get a print out of those documents and carry them along(just in case if they are stopped en-route.)

Do take permissions from all possible departments like Grampanchayath or some like that. There is no dearth of moronese in our country!!

What happened was really sad, but all said and done, one should always take a written permission. I'm also part of the organising committee GHAC and we keep going regularly to Ananthagiri Forest and Nagasamudram Lake for trekking. Everytime a request letter is given in the Vikarabad P.S. and approval stamped on the same by the C.I.

Even I came to know something like that. Very sad. I think the only solution to this is to educate these guys. May be having the media in full force for the event and ensuring all participants follow the rules of safe driving diligently. That will definitely inculcate a feeling of safety amongst general populace.

Some good slush there, which must have dried up in a month.

The lucky 1-15 Jeeps that got to see some action. We were in the 15-30 line up doing the first set of obstacles when the cops came in. How far did the 1-15 convoy go on the course? The cops were not aware that there were other Jeeps ahead of us that went into the forest.

Nice pics. At the event I had seen a professional video camera with tripod doing some stage by stage shooting. Is there a similar set up for still photographs too?

Also, if the Marshall's and spotters are made to wear a different colour of T shirt or caps, it would be helpful for the participants. Orange T shirts were worn by participants and O team.

There was no spotter / marshall for jeeps 24 25 26 27 & 28 when we did the first obstacle. Infact, there was nobody around and we breezed through the pits.

Until the cops came at the exit wielding a "lathi.."

Thanks to you for spotting for Jeeps 24-28 and by the time we did the first obstacle, pits...came the high and mighty cops with their ego bigger than their lathi's.

Well the reason for the absence of spotters and marshalls was understandable in this case as they all were sincerely trying to recoup and salvage the situation. I applaud them for their effort.

You still have the front seat reserved in the Lynx, should you decide to come by for the event.

Organizers, please fix an early date, cant wait to drive over this track. What an event it could have been! amazing track.. I feel like going there right now and enjoy offroading, let what may happen. Worst to worst will have to face the ire of telangana agitators, booked by forest officials, thrown behind the bars by the police for a couple of days, but right now i feel its worth. its been 2 months having gone offroad.
