@Dwaraka - Could you please confirm from highway how many kms you planning to go in and pitch a camp? Just wondering, in worst case will get my car till the starting point and walk with you guys and come back in the evening. (hope its walkable distance)

Sharath, I think you should drive your Jeep and enjoy the trail, will be a very challenging trail. Most of us who are being marshals would have done the trial a couple of times in the recces. I dont want you to miss out on the fun of the trail.

Still keeping my options open. The 800kms solo driving to Bangalore and back in open Jeep is not something I look forward to...

I just did the drive to mangalore and back on my gypsy, wanted to finish the running in and also check for other faults if any. Was not too painfull a drive.

Your Gypsy doesn't have a 5.38 axle ratio or a top speed limited to 70kmph. And you have doors!!!

Besides, Gypsy has lot less chances of breakdowns.

This is a ritual like event for us. We see offroaders travelling from 600 -700 kms distances to participate in the event.
