That's a great story Sreeni. It isn't for no reason you are fondly called as Jungle Uncle. None of us would have known what to do under similar circumstances. I am just glad this didn't happen during the recce with many people.

That said, I am quite disappointed that our forest officials don't have vehicles capable of entering the Jungle.

Firstly let me congratulate you on your determination then on your narrating skills and last but not least the half kilometer sprint in an off road location without looking back (definitely not easy).

With your new found PR with the forest guys we can be assured that we will get that extra courtesy from them.

It is nice to know a new born has come to life in the wild.

You made us all Jeepers, T-BHPians proud. Looking forward to meet the man who doesn't need a 4X4.

Hey Sreeni,

That was a real adventure and Kudos to you. Also you were lucky that the elephant didn't come charging at you long enough - possibly she did not want to leave the new born alone.

What a sad state of affairs with the forest department. Neither do they have vehicle which can enter forest nor are they fit - specailly some officers like this guy - enough which is essential part of their job.
