Summer is here, which means that the monsoons can't be far behind...

Just as the Met department starts planning for the arrival of monsoons, the BAAPs (consortium of usual suspects from Bombay, Alibag and Pune :)) have started planning for Maha Monsoon Madness (MCUBE 2012), the annual gathering of offroaders around Mumbai.

So please pencil in your calendars for the weekend of July 6-7 (Friday - Saturday).

Apply for those leaves, look up at the sky and appease the rain gods, but more importantly tell Gopal, Janniah, Mhd Ali, Razak, Bimesh (insert favorite local mechanic here) that your jeeps/gypsys must be ready by then.

More details will unveil as we firm out the specifics, but for now we are off to find THAT trail!


And if the thought of meeting such wonderful people does not motivate you, then here is some terrain that surely will...

Will a lifted Endy with 32" MTs make it through the trail? Haven't got the tyres yet but have been promised them in the next 2 months. Will probably get a rear locker in the meantime though. :) once I get my axle and spline count figured out.

I'll join in again as a passenger, my own 4X4 is still years away :(

An Endy, lifted or not is just too long a vehicle to make it through most hilly trails in this part of town. They are quite narrow and twisty.

I would advise using it to drive from Chenna in comfort :) and then hopping into another vehicle.

This is excellent news, I was there last year at the event and had a great time. I wanted to know if I can bring my lifted Range Rover Classic with 32" MT tyres? She isn't quite as long as the endy, if not I can always bring my 550. Really looking forward to this!!

Awesome pics, the Charminar Offroad club will be there with our JEEPS . Still not out of the last years hangover .

Last year couldn`t make it since i had to preserve the car for Raid De Himalaya. This time i am in for sure. Count me in with the hyderabad gang.

Hyderabad Jeepers just love this terrain in monsoon, you can expect atleast 15 from here. Rest 20 spots will fill up in a hurry, so don't delay once the announcements are made. Hope to see your beast this time.

hope to see and meet all you guys this year round. have not been able to attend for last 2 years cause ive not had jeep once and next year was busy post engagement. have jeep now(almost ready to take on proper trails), and gonna keep my fingers crossed. looking to turn this event into a post marriage road trip(i get hitched in mayclap:
