Hmm.... Brother even before SPOA reached Tbhp forum we had folks in Coorg and Maland area, sporting the leafs over the housing and carrying double the payload on jeeps and utility trucks..Come over to Coorg you'd find many of these and FC trucks..... Quote:

Salute to the Zoomers club of Ammathi for what appears to be a super event. How about sharing the timings? |
Sure will continue the post... Nope around 40% of the vehicles only had the right set of tires, the rest were all on HT's Quote:

Yeah it is relatively non-damaging since most of them get struck in the pit.. and burn their clutch thats all... Quote:

Tractors were the recovery vehicle, and the FC is a 4x4 vehicle which acted as a part of convey to the media people and also assisting in recovery..
So the post continues...
Of the 30 odd vehicles participated we saw most of them getting struck at the very beginning of the race. So the organizers had to pull the plug and cut short the track from 4 kms to around 2.5 kms.
0So at the end we saw only 16 vehicles completing the race of 32 vehicles.. others just couldn't finish the race.. The timing is as follows
Diesel Class- 4 min 13 sec - Our Doberman ( 2nd +45 secs, 3rd +170 secs)
Petrol Class - 3 min 35 sec - Gypsy king
Open Class - 3 min 13 sec - Gypsy King
Petrol class saw the participation of only one vehicle i.e Gypsy king and open class saw the foreign players unable scratch our mud !!!!
The best part was the Navigator was supposed to start the watch which was placed in the dais and then once the team finishes the run, he was supposed to stop the watch!!! So it was kind of fun to watch the navi's flying into the jeeps and flying out ..
So yeah we (twinn) taking the trophy for 1st position in diesel class..
The second placed, SPOA with 207 axels
Check our mech.. full on hyper!!
The team, the fellow in red shirt bagged the trophies for petrol and open class clocking the two best timings of the day.. He rode his gypsy to the max & finally burnt the clutch..
