I heard this event didn't happen at the last moment due to lack of forest department permission. Any more details available from the participants?

It is sad how all the OTRs are getting cancelled due to refusal by forest department.

This is what I heard from the folks who visited the event,

The event did happen but not on the planned trail, as most of the trail was inside the forest land and the officials backed out at the last moment.

The event got kicked out as usual and the team was lead thru a series of pukka roads and had a small stream crossing which marked the end of the event.

Some of the brave hearts who voiced out their opinions did get their certain percentage as a refund is what I heard!!!

Its always a uncertainty when we plan an OTR is no mans land, that too if it comes under the jurisdiction of the forest guys, that a strictly No-NO..

Too bad the reputation of the organizers did go for a toss

Looking at it from another aspect, it is good in a way. All the noise/exhaust pollution created during OTRs does not go well with the flora/fauna of the forest. I am sure there are ample OTR opportunities outside forest boundaries as well.

Note - This is just my personal opinion, no offence meant to any off-roaders here
