Re: Jeepthrills workshops and Kolkata monsoon meets : July-October 2012

Awesome! Is this the same site in Pandua that we visited some years ago? It looks so much different, and green.

Also, is that Scorp (sans bumper) a 4wd?

Technically, I do have a 4x4. But practically, am in the same boat as you. So I guess not having a 4x4 does not matter. Even last time it was the same!!

Nope the site we visited some years ago is near Baidyabati, this one is way beyond even Pandu, near Boinchi (what a name!)

That scorp that you are refering to, indeed has a lovely bumper, without the paint (hence black), and is a 2WD. One should have seen it climbing a slope. It did get stuck once or twice, given that it is predominantly a hind paw runner, but overall it still explored the topography quite a bit.

Check this out, we had a Teutonic participant!!

29th July : Thats the date of the next meet.

Thank you Anirban for the awesome photographs and a straight from the heart writeup to describe the day's proceedings. Request the other team bhp members who were there to post their pics and videos. I am currently travelling in north bengal and will upload my lot when i get back to civilisation.

In the meanwhile log on to the Kolkata Offroaders group on Facebook https://m.facebook.com/groups/333368660072169?refid=27 for more action shots, videos and discussion.

NOS Power , I am looking forward to your participation next time.

Hi
The 540 is still with him. Next venue is again Pandua.

Not much of shooting from my end as I was involved in the action but this one shot by my mobile camera stands out.

i see Sumitro's (BlackPearl) 4x4 Bolero in one of the pictures!

Good going guys

Slightly OT: one of PUG members' Palio 1.6 S10 is stuck in Lilua with a leaking clutch cylinder. any leads to some mechanic who can help him out with the problem. The owner stays at Mumbai, S10 is MH14 registered.

You dont see any other BHPians vehicles in there? Just the previous post has one snap of one such vehicle rolling backwards (in trying to reattempt the slope).

Anyways couple of snaps from my end. Though not much by way of action, as I was not mostly near my camera.

Dip27in and Blackpearl along with two non-bhpians Indranil and Anupam

Marengo had the honour of UBS trying it out on a bit of casual softroading

Some shots of Marengo on the same slope as it is seen in Mitrajdeep's post (rolling down). Inset pic added to give a reference of size of the two vehicles being similar so that a judgement can be made of the height to be traversed and the slope.
