PICS : Extreme Offroaders Lonavala OTR

Hello People!!!

Yes, We are back from hibernation

Our first trip of this season to pawna dam with 7 vehicles and bunch of mad offroaders.

Imran - Mahindra Pickup
Ibrahim - Gypsy
Honey - Gypsy
Pankaj - Thar
Amit - Nissan Patrol
Prithvi - Defender
Devang - monstAr

Highlights of this OTR

Prithvi's first OTR in his Defender. Prithvi and Defender both performed well but at the defender got stuck and 3 hours of recovery with some crazy fun.
ended up breaking prithvis winch cable and getting himself and us mud bath.

Honey got stuck on the same spot twice and cursing me for putting him in the mess . while we were trying to get these two cars out honeys friend had no clue what he was doing in lake but didnt bother to come out or may be he couldnt come out by his own.

Imrans Mahindra Pickup turned out to be our rescue vehicle for the day. Crazy torque. It was impossible for any of gypsies to pull the defender out but we made it possible only and only because of Mahindra.

Let the pictures continue the story

A very interesting lineup of rides, I must say. The terrain looks very familiar

Would be great if you can share more information on how the Patrol and Thar performed.

Hi !!!
Did any one dare to take the pickup offroad? Apart from the rear overhang, the beast would perform flawlessly, ofcourse many terrains can't take ~2tons weight, what with limited articulation.

Regards
Andy

@ Rush,

Same trail where we did EXAMM.

Patrol had some issues with 4wd gearbox so it didnt finish complete trail but till the time it was functioning it just flew over all obstacles. Thar did fairly well. Credit to Mudzilla

Keep the pickup as a pickup.

When I first started offroading in 2004, in my pickup, a lot of well meaning folks gave the same advice - chop the chassis from where the cabin ends .. Blah blah, blah. After 6 years, I picked up a 540 and 340 to beat around the bush(literally) while retaining the pickup in pristine condition. It is my daily drive now.
