Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() What a brilliant thread Tejas. Not only does this give a picture of the event itself but what went on behind the scenes. Rated 5 stars. |

| ![]() This thread certainly piques interest among automobile aficionados. The photographs are mesmerizing. Thank you for the share. One can only wish that such would be in evidence not just for a single brand, but for all the others, too, in future and on a more regular basis ![]() |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Tejas, Your expertise in the subject of off-roading is unparalleled. Not only are you a pro-offroader, but you've also built a strong knowledgebase of the technical stuff. Now, you've gone out & learnt how to convert boring land into an offroad track! Man, if ever there was someone who's got 4x4 etched on his heart, it's you. We'll get you one of these when you are a senior citizen and have no teeth left ![]() ![]() Pic Source Thanks for sharing this brilliant report with us. |

Something tells me you are trying to jog our (dental) fillings loose so you can re-fill them. ![]() I loved the pics of the earth covered Fortuners and the Google Earth superimposed image of the track. Last edited by navin : 11th October 2012 at 13:23.

| ![]() Lovely report and description. Missed going to event due to parallel work activity going on at F1 Track so cursing my self. People had loads of fun. Though I wonder with so much care going in to checking ramp and approaches why did some people complain about broken bumpers?? |

| ![]() Simply Awesome stuff!! Kudos to your offroading spirit Tejas!! ![]() Personally, for me, there is nothing, absolutely nothing as endearing as seeing a butch looking, menacing SUV posing with slush all over it. If I ever buy a SUV, I will never wash it ![]() |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() That is some fabulous work tejas. I always wanted to know "the behind the scenes" planning about such events and you just fulfilled my wish. It indeed requires some great efforts and when its about offroading, no one can beat you. Hats off mate for all your hard work! ![]() |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I really wish that Ford would make tracks like this. Their so called offroad tracks can be done in 2wd. There was a Ford Endeavour offroad Drive Event in bangalore but I didnt go for that after hearing about their reputation for making extremely tame tracks. Tejas can you please design the track for the next 'Great Ford Endeavour Drive'??? Would appreciate it ![]() |

I also checked with Autocar drivers and Toyota, no one has received any complaint from any driver. Could you pass on the details of the affected persons. Will make sure the bumper issue is rectified. The only car that was damaged was the car we got a week before and that only had bend footboards and broken bumper since that was the test car for clearances. Oh yes, the LC blew a couple of tires and a customer fried the clutch of a demo car but no issue with any customer car. Again, please pass on the details, i will make sure damage is repaired if it was due to any obstacle. Quote:

![]() But having said that, the credit goes to all three of us who made it possible by working as a team. Here's a pic: ![]() Allan (xtreme power in the centre), Amol (Sun_chaser in blue) and the "heavier" one is me ![]()

BHPian ![]() | ![]() It is really amazing at what you guys could do with a barren piece of land!! Rated a well deserved 5 stars. Toyota has really hit the jackpot by organizing the bootcamp, letting the Fortuner owners know what a brilliant & mean machine they have. O.T: The demo car you guys used(KA-42-M-****) seems to have some a broken rear bumper in some of the pictures what was the cause? Also it seems to me that Toyota has not yet resolved the "front number plate breaking off" cause i see many of the new Fortuners in the pics with the number plate bent/broken? What was the cause for the LC's tires blowing up? I'm really sorry for bombarding you with Q's like this but i'm just extremely curious!! |
