| ![]() But Dhabhar Sir, Stock Thars are facing regular problems off road in Gurgaon there are over 30 cases of broken front axles, CV joints and Lower wishbone hitting rocks & boulders. Was the IFS Thar tested extensively off road during its development ? The suspension is a Bolero derivative or shares the Scorpio system and platform ? |

MH01V521 was a R&D vehicle , no need to meet any CMVR !!. Offroad break down cannot be commented as it can happen to any vehicle depends on the brain who drives it. Lot of THAR CRDe vehicles seems to have brought by newbies , so breakdown may be a learning curve.

| ![]() After purchase other Thar units can also be modified. What needs to be done ? What is the suggested modification to ensure weak axle rods dont snap if the vehicle is stuck on one of the front wheels ? Also where do we put more skid plates for better undercarriage protection ? |

1. Skid Plates 2. Radiator mesh 3. Fuel tank guard For Axle snapping, you are a well experienced person and know how to make it better. A rear locker would do miracles to the THAR!
