100th Annual Great Escape

Mahindra Adventure hits a century! 100th Annual Great Escape was conducted at the famous sand dune region of Rajasthan- Manvar. Take a look at Super Thar and Super XUV500 storming the dunes.

Re: 100th Annual Great Escape

Great pictures !!! Was the XUV able to handle the sand roads though? Looks to me at least to be too much for the vehicle.

Re: 100th Annual Great Escape

Dear Vinod - this is like nostalgia all over again! I remember Manvar, we stayed at a palace hotel. The Thar in the 6th picture of the first post is exactly how I always wanted my vehicle to look like (but with rally spec rollover bars of course), a black 2 seater! You have made my dream come true at last, so thank you very much. Please thank Bijoy and the team also.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

That black THAR surely steals the show. Was that customized for this event? The wheels probably would have looked better in some different color though.

Re: 100th Annual Great Escape

Hey Vinod,
Why does that Thar on the second and fourth picture in your first post have a scoop on top?
Cheers,
Deepak

Congratulations Vinod and the whole team. Good to see Dr. posing with the Thar, a rare and good sight that is. The black Thar looks good.

I think its the same Thar modified by Raj Kapoor of Performance Auto in NOIDA and it overturned or broke down in Raid D Himalaya!

The Thar that i mention above seems to be different. I don't see the front intercooler and that bonnet scoop makes me think that it has a top intercooler ==> mHawk powered?

Thank you sir. I exactly know what you want. This Thar has been conceptualised by us (Bijoy & me) and Neel from customization executed it brilliantly. We wanted to celebrate 100th great escape and it couldn't have been better than this. Gaurav gill drove this Thar and fell in love so much so that he took it home.

This is not the M hawk version you are thinking of. The inter cooler has been relocated on top to allow smooth flow of air to the radiator as rally conditions are tougher.

parm,
Right qualification would be -it is the same Thar which finished second in Desert Storm -13 next only to petrol powered vitara and way way ahead of petrol powered Gypsy's. A true achievement for a diesel!

Yes it had an unfortunate accident on the first day in Mughal. Finished raid de himalya without breaking down even once.

My apology for the incorrect information posted by me, it was Mughal rally and not Raid de himalaya.

Thanks vinod for correcting me.
