I am a little surprised. Discovery-4 with H/Ts and not A/Ts ?
No wonder they were spinning away to glory in the clay though they were new !

Almost made it - but not quite !

And the Discovery 4's final surrender to the slope:

Adios !
Interesting.
Discovery 4 has very good off-road capability, it has proper low range and lockable rear diff, raisable suspension, etc... What happened here? Inexperienced driver? Bad tires?

Are all Fortuners wearing AT tyres?

Could some one please confirm the type of tyres the Fortuners are wearing?

Hi Parm,

All Fortuners were having OE Dunlop Grandtrek AT20(These are ALL SEASON type)

Fortunately i had upgraded my tires just a week before this excursion to the Continental Cross Contact A/T's so i was the only one having the A/T tires

Karan thanks for the answer.

Just one more thing i would like to ask you is, by fitting a 15 inch wheel size on a Fortuner, won't you have more choices of fitting AT tyres compared to limited range in 17 inch wheel size which is currently the size for Fortuner?

True, but 15" will be too much of a downsize, IMO globally in some nations Fortuner is available in 16" i.e. 265/70 R16 that would be an ideal downsize
