Sharath,

Nice to see your writeup after a long time. Loved it.

Regarding the broken rear prop shaft, I think it broke solely due to the pinion angle due to Shackle reversal (per pic). What do you think? Others?

Thanks
Santosh

Have a good BAOTR14

Have you made your payment? Even audience have to pay the same amount as participants.

Hard to guess after a year. Where do you see the shackle reversal?

Excellent report. Loved the photographs! And you sir- look very very capable indeed in these conditions. I saw a Bolero M2dicr and a white Bolero Camper in the pics somewhere. What were these vehicles; support vehicles? I am assuming that they did not take any part in the 4x4 obstacles because the M2dicr is most certainly a 2 wheel drive; not sure about the Bolero Camper!

White Camper is a recovery vehicle from LAMBDA I guess. The vehicle has all LAMBDA 4x4 equipments, like Winch, Hub Locks, Lambda Differential lockers, etc.

Hmm, now I see it again, must have seen wrong on a mobile phone screen. That rear of the leaf looked as of the shackle side was reversed, but now I think its just out of place. Sorry for the confusion...

Great report, the pictures really made me feel like I was there. Great to see real off-roading being done in Bangalore.

I actually don't know what to say. All proud drivers, happy kids and families too, the event must have been of great joy and some may remember this for a life time. But someone please tell me how much of damage have you all done to natural habitat, the avian species, insects, creepers, crawlers and god knows what else. We destroy natural habitat due to growing population, we also do it for fun too. A little bit of what I am trying to speak.
Not that I am trying to be a saint, am equally responsible and have done harm to our environment. Now a days I try to make a conscious effort of minimizing it.

Relax dude. These events are conducted in stone quarries, which are already subjected to years of blasting, drilling, breaking and trucking. Many of the offroaders are active forest and wildlife conservationists. We don't let any trash to be thrown in the terrain. If you ever read the handbook of OTR events, there are strict instructions regarding respecting the terrain.
