The Gokak Challenge (TGC) 2014 is scheduled on 8th and 9th of November (Saturday and Sunday) 2014. It’s a two day event which will consist of trail driving in rough and scenic terrain in and around Gokak. To make the event enjoyable this year, participants would be divided into two groups and these groups will start offroad from opposite ends of trail.
Similar to last year, other than offroading few other activities are being planned for these two days which will be educational in nature and will be related to offroading/environment .

Shuben Bhai - There was an update by Gulbarga Jeepers on FB forum about the event getting postponed. Any update on that or is the event schedule right on track?

Amrth Bhai,
I was also hearing such news, just called Ayub bhai and he confirmed the same as well. Problem is most of the trail for this year is on the other side/in and around of Gokak river. Due to heavy monsoon this year water has to recede further 3 feets to enable them to access and design trail.
Preliminary it looks like it will take at least a month to get them enter to trail.
This event is now postponed till 15th December, 2014.

Replying to year old question. It didnt happen last year due to dam water level playing spoilsport. But this year it will happen for sure.
I will soon start a thread with event details.
