The 9th Palar Challenge, 2015 - Event Report
The 9th Palar Challenge started with ONLY one team Gutsy enough to register for the PRO category from Triveni motor sports. To keep the competition alive TT Claw team from TVS Tread and Terra Tigers team competed in the PRO-category.
The teams contested over 3 runs and 5 Special Stages. The Triveni motor sports team displayed consistency and were fully geared for the competition which was carried into Camp 2.
The competition picked up speed at Camp 2 with 2 more 4X4 teams, 2 ATV teams and 1 SUV-Thar team.
Team Triveni motor sports (Team 11) won The Palar Challenge with an accumulated 2014 points.
Team BODA (Team 61) were unstoppable in Camp 2 and won the SARA EXTREME 4X4 trophy for Camp 2 with 1883 points.
The ATV team (team 72) won the ATV category with 2563 points.
Most performing 4WD was Manoj from team Triveni in a MG413W MPFi with 811 points.
The 2nd most performing 4WD was a tie between Pradeep (Competition Thar CRDe) and Madhu (Competition MG413Turbo) with 647 points each.
The 3rd most performing 4WD was Rhenius from Triveni motor sports in a MG413W MPFi with 629 points.
The winner of the Individual Special Stage was Madhu from BODA (Competition MG413Turbo).
The 2nd place was Manoj from Triveni motor sports in a MG413W MPFi.
The 3rd place was Rufus Patrick from Triveni motor sports in a MG413W MPFi.
First among the first timers was Team 31 SUV-Thar.
