Came across these videos posted by Jeep India about the 'Jeep Trails' series of events conducted by them recently. Seems like a step in the right direction towards building brand awareness and desirability in the market.

Jeep Trails - River Trails Punjab

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQMvxcrkZ7o

Highlights -
- 16 Jeeps (Compass)
- 29 Jeepers
- Event put the Compass through Tarmac, Sand, River Crossing and Dry River Bed Conditions.
- Conducted in March 2018.

And it looks like there were other events conducted recently as well.

Jeep Trails - Jungle Trails Goa 2018

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s02_-QersoQ

Highlights -
- 23 Jeeps (Can spot two of the brand heavy weights too)
- 47 Jeepers.
- Seems to be conducted in Feb 2018.

Camp Jeep - Delhi 2018

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HMkkf7p6i8

Highlights -
- Conducted in Feb 2018
- Not sure from the video if this event was on the same level as the others, because it looks to be conducted inside the city within a constructed offroading track. May be any of the Compass owners can throw light on this?

Bring it on, Jeep! Just bring it on clap: clap:

Mahindra is the only car manufacturer to have consistently invested in its owner community - I have participated in multiple Great Escapes & all of them have been fun. Other manufacturers (Maruti, Tata etc.) have tried, but either the results have been underwhelming or the projects eventually gathered dust.

I hope Jeep also builds its community in a similar manner to Mahindra / Royal Enfield / Harley Davidson. Events such as these have incredible branding, image & customer loyalty advantages.

This is a positive trend with lifestyle brands and vehicles. To your point, I would say isuzu is the other brand that is doing this pretty well too for its d max owners. But this is a super value add to engage worth people buying lifestyle products.

Harley Bmw and Triumph of course are leading the charge on similar initiatives in the two wheeled world.

A wonderful initiative indeed, more so because it throws open the exhilarating world of off-road driving to many more Indians, while building a solid brand name for Jeep in our country. A win-win situation in my opinion. Way to go Jeep, only if you could do something about the awful approach angle (couldn't find it in the specs but figure it must be around 25 deg or so) for a so-called off-roader, at least for the 4x4 version.

Absolutely agree about the approach angle. First thing I noticed in the showroom. Believe the trailhawk will have a different lower chin?

Mahindra is the CLEAR LEADER in this space. Their off-roading academy is just plain AWESOME!
What's better in Mahindra's approach is their Expeditions, which are for people who don't own a Mahindra yet. It gives people the option to check our the car themselves & experience it's capability. In the last drive I went, I know there was a person who immediately purchased a Thar right after.

Tata tried & failed with SOUL i.e. Safari Owners United League, NOW renamed to SUV Owners United League to include Hexa owners.
Lack of the brand involvement & no leadership in community made it just owner groups doing self activation, ensuring Tata Motors is not involved in any capacity. :uncontrol

Trailhawk what I know for sure has a high GC compared to the normal Compass. That itself would improve the approach angle.

Yes, but the approach angle would still be less than desirable at 30 deg. Please refer to the specs here.

Yes, the GC would be reasonably good at 215 mm but could be better for something tagged as "Trail Rated".

Hi Crazy Driver. Since you're based out of Bangalore is there a whatsapp group that you know of, and can add me to for Jeep Compass owners? I'm not able to DM anyone here yet so do help me out by directly messaging me.
