The Palar Challenge - December 2020

The Terra Tigers are back with the TPC, the oldest and beyond doubt one of the toughest off-road competition events in India.

The last few events were organised more as fun-filled but challenging off-road drives, minus the 'competition' aspect.

This year it is going to be in full competition mode!

It starts on December 9th with the registration and vehicle scrutiny.

A total of 12 teams have registered this year.

All the best to Arka and Terra Tigers. Its good to see TPC back in full competition mode.
Its TPC which started the concept of offroad competition in India and set benchmark so high that only very few events have achieved till now.

All the best Arka & the team!! TPC is TPC -- something magical about it.

Good to see the competitive part of TPC coming back again. with recent rains & winter season, I am sure one of the best times to be doing TPC

Had planned to be there but have to be away on travel for work so will miss the event.

Any idea how the terrain is now after the recent rains and all? Badly miss the recce updates! Arka is surely planning for some big surprise obstacles this time I guess

All the best guys! was planning to do a drive down (as a spectator) with few friends but not happening. :(

So much fun watching these rugged built mighty beasts put to the test! And the sheer enthusiasm in the participants and their assistants augments the thrill of the event. Never knew there was so much avidity in the offroad event scene on such a large scale until I got here. A big thumbs up to you guys for sharing the media! Eagerly looking forward to attend these kind of events as a spectator first and then a participant someday.

I see a Wrangler bopping around the course. I know that has a little horsepower, even if it is not a radical off-roader in stock form. In North America you can buy yourself a 1000 HP crate motor, large V-8 factory made, and start from there...although off-road competition winners often excel with motors half that power and concentrate on more capable suspensions and other equipment, depending on the type of competition.

Anybody show up at Palar with with a really big motor or other exotic equipment? You guys may have noticed, member sreejeshmp is currently fabbing up a rear steer denizen....he's a computer guy and they are all a bit pixilated. "How many computer programmers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Zero, that's a hardware problem."

Nice videos but to be honest, the background music puts me off big time. I feel, just the sound of the vehicles would have been much better.
