@nitrous

Yeah I know, we are trying to get it into shape. Will take a bit of time, coz we are all so spread out, but we'll get it done. Hope to see you at one of of our meets soon.

Summary of the Gurgaon OTR 23-02-2007

Hello TBHPians,

We had 1 Jeep and a Mitsubishi Pajero.

We headed to Dam Dama Lake and tried out the basic Ascending/Descending Drills.

Then after Phamilyman left we headed out towards the Lake for Lunch.

We had to drive 500mts on off camber/side-slope of 10-20Degrees.

At a stream crossing with a steep exit the JEEP got stuck, its PTO/Mechanical Winch refused to work.

We tried to pull out the JEEP with the Pajero but could not get sufficient traction reversing up a 20 +Deg. Incline. We managed to get a tractor and pull out the JEEP.

By 1800hrs we headed back to Gurgaon.

Regards,

Arka

PS - will post the pics, don't remember anyone taking pics !!!

Thanks for the update, Arka. The jepp getting stuck must have been a bit of a dampener, but of course , that is all part of the off-roading experience. Hope there are some more pics for us to see .

Purely from an offroading point of view - not visiting the resort and tourist complexes, how's the terrain around Damdama Lake ? i.e. Sandy, muddy or rocky ?

How long is this off road trail ?

Is there some track that Goes off road right from Badshahpur to Damdama ?

There is a track right from Badshapur but you will have to ride along for teh directions as GPS tracking has not been done.
