I Was a total Toyota and Jap 4 X 4 guy. until i heard from my brother about the Warranty that Chrysler is offering for the Wrangler , they have even promised to replace any suspension components or under body parts if something goes kaput or gets bent while off roding.

They are offering to replace the chassis? That's interesting, as that is what was buckling under the stress of a airborne landing. I don't know about the current Jeeps but perhaps they have lighter engines? The old sixes and eights used to create the problem due to their weight. This one problem aside the Wranglers are so much fun!

Aesome pictures vikid and taken very well too. I just love you Cherokee. It looks the business it is meant for. What is the general upkeep you do for you beast when you do such a lot of offroading?

P.S I could use your Cherokee in the Mumbai floods

Vikram you've posted some awesome shots of your steeds in action. How about detailed stories of how the different cars were prepared/customised. If you have pictures of work being carried out it would be appreciated. Also perhaps you could share some of your experiences as to how the different modifications helped.

Would it be possible to do it as a series? Like take the Wrangler and start with engine mods, suspension, accessories etc then move onto a Cherokee and so on?

Thanks for sharing

Mods on the Cherokee

Hi Vikid,

Sorry for Hi-Jacking your thread.

You have done some nice modifications on the Cherokee.

I am very interested in a blow-by-blow account for your OX-Locker installation.

Regards,

Arka

I have an OX locker for my front Dana30 and rear Dana 35 diff. The locker is with upgraded gears 4.56, well the OX locker is a cable activated locker unlike the air or electric lockers. Ox Lockers work with a simple push and pull of the manual shifter and cable system to lock or unlock my Jeep's differential.
I went for OX as they are very heavy duty and long lasting, but yes the installation is bit tough and needs to be performed by an expert, once its installed/adjusted properly its just very cool and you would love it. Easy and sure shift action leaves no doubt when you are locked up. This will feed through custom designed aerospace quality cable assembly. All this adds up to reliability, no leaks, no shorts.

And for the installation, the below link describes it the best! but, if you have any particular question, let me know and i will be happy to share my experience.
