BT, I agree. In Bangalore OTR's I encounter this almost aways -- during rock crawling. My petrol gypsy has to be revved to go over certain obstacles where as diesel jeeps easily crawl over it. With the gypsy, even the speed at which they go over rocks is lot more than diesel jeeps.

My colleagues aptly call it the 'mountain goat' when it literally 'jumps' over the rocks.

Yeah, but one needs to be a little careful on such terrain as one has to play with the A, B and C to keep going. In a jeep, there is no use of the Clutch in such situations!

Fully agree! In a Gypsy you have to play with the A,B & C on such a terrain. In fact my jeep brethren keep shouting 'leave the clutch.. leave the clutch..' .

Khan, you should sit him beside you and leave the clutch. Please be seat belted and ensure your friendly co passenger IS NOT. He will realise that gypsies are not JEEPS.

My set of pics from the last OTR meet here in Chennai. The experience was unforgettable and barring my queasy stomach, i would have had a lot more fun than i did. I am glad though, that i was able to attend.
