Too much publicity can kill the event, like the crowd over-running the event in speedrun.

A crowd any bigger and we'd have to barricade the track as its impossible to control too many people. You would simply have to keep the track and spectator areas apart. Perhaps for the next event we'll suggest separating the two so that things run smoothly. That way we can publicise so more families can come for a funfilled day out.

Will post some more pictures

Saw few pics of this event, was impressed by the man made tracks.

One question arises, why manmade , why not original tracks.?

Wow, the skid plates below the transfer case seems to be hitting the cement pipe hard.

no samu, this vehicle didnt had any trouble there, the skid plate was rubbing along the pipe(i think, thats what they are for). I think thats due to the load it was carrying. There were 5 adults(the one in the black shirt is quite hefty though not clearly visible in the picture) and 4 kids.

Most of the vehicles had trouble after the rear tire clearing the pipe - bottoming out the rear, irrespective of the vehicle. It also depends upon the driver; there were few vehicles which didn't has that trouble though they were expected to be hitting the pipe. There was a Yellow Pajero, brought in by one the sponsors(mistubishi dealer) driven by the showroom driver, it royally hit its rear bumper. There was a black Pajero driven by a pro, didn't had trouble here.

Quite true. Drivers who weren't gentle as the tyres scaled the pipe and rolled down ended up hitting the body as the suspension would force the car down. The trick was to gently ease the vehicle forward down the pipe once its wheels were atop the pipe.

KKr2k2,
Thanks for the commander HT 4wd pics. We rarely get to see hard tops in action. I love M&M hard tops and especially marshal 2000. Marshal at the fag end of their life came with DI turbo BS II with 5 speed gearbox. Marshals with NGCS were strong and with Di turbo and 5 speed Gearbox they had cruiseability also. That was the last mahindra hard top station-wagon with CJ looks.

which can be handled by proper control and managment.

a good amount of publicity also helps attract new talent, who might not have heard about the event but would love to participate in such a event which doesnt happen that often in hyderabad.

Hi, Does anyone have pictures of Dr Naresh's Gypsy performing? Am sure he wouldn't have had any problems at the pipe, but did the machine have a shortened rear overhang? How did it fare on bottoming out after the hillock?

Great event! Wish I was there too. Next time!
